Subdued, lacking in effervescence
She lay there, frail and in tears
Wishing she hadn’t known him at all
In agony, she reminisce
How their union was once the epitome of love
That has now gone sour
Still, she lay down bleeding
Beating herself up for falling for his cheap lines
And useless promises
Yet still, inwardly she screams for him
To love her again, and be the man
She once thought he was
As her world stands still
Her life loses meaning
For all her being, she had given it all to him
She confesses, she loves him still
Though he doesn’t love her back
She will love him still
Even if he mistreats her, she forgives him still
And when he comes back, she will accept him still
For she is a woman
In tears and blood she will love you still
Until that day she tires of you, and leave you
Hoping she will still return, but hell NO!
